There are so many homeless people in Hong Kong, what can we do to help them?
Soso Cheng and Zoe Tse chose to take action and accompany those who lost their home for whatever reason. For them, this is not an act of charity, but an act of sharing and care.
Early in 2014, the two met each other through a volunteer program named "We Love, Therefore We Share". The program was to serve the underprivileged who lived in Sham Shui Po district. After that, they wanted to extend this act of care to the Hong Kong Island district, where they resided, and encouraged people to show care and love to those in need. Therefore, they formed "Hong Kong Share Stories'' in 2018. They would visit the homeless, ragpickers, and street cleaners regularly; give them clothings and meal vouchers; and take care of their physical and mental needs.
In just one year, lots of people participated in the program. Besides gathering materials, they have also encouraged many to spread love and care to the community through the program.
Following the volunteer team, our presenter, Yuki Lovey, visited the underprivileged and felt sympathy for the plight of these people who are being "forgotten".
Who can be their friends and be there for them through difficult times?
